Joint Session of City Council and Park Board To Discuss $25.7 million Bond Issue for Acquatic Centers

On Tuesday, July 13, 2014 there will be a joint meeting of the St. Charles City Council and the St. Charles Parks and Recreation Board. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss a request from the Park Board that the City Council prove a $25.7 million Bond Issue for renovation of the Waplehorst Aquatic Facility, replacement of the Blanchette Aquatic Facility with indoor and outdoor components and allow the McNair Aquatic Facility to remain open until the end of its useful life.

The Park Board is calling for the Bond Issue election be placed on the ballot for the November 2016 election.
