Two Charged in Shooting of 15 Year Old Boy During Drug Transaction in O'Fallon On Thursday

Riley Gregory Bersch, 18 of Kingscross Lane in Creve Couer and Antwon Deshawom Hunter, Jr., 18 of Eagle Valley Drive in Jennings were charged by St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney Tim Lohmas with assault, armed criminal action and attempted robbery with a cash bond of $150,000 each.

Another man who is believed to be the actual trigger man is stilling sought. The identity of the boy who was shot has not been released.

The individuals beat at the taco Bell Restaurant in O'Fallon and then drove to McQuade to complete a drug sale. Hunter and Bersch stayed in their car when the third suspect got out and pointed a gun into the window of the other vehicle and demanded the marijuana. The driver began to drive away and the suspect shot into the vehicle striking the 15 year old boy. He suffered a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was taken to a local hospital where his condition has not been released.

Police are still searching for the third suspect.
